Troubleshooting low steam/lack of steam

Step 1): Remove and clean steam tip

Step 2): When was steam circuit last descaled? If over 4 weeks, please descale. If under 4 weeks, please perform the rinsing step after descaling (no additional cleaning powder- in this step we'd be troubleshooting for a potentially stuck clump of cleaning solution that hasn't been able to make its way out of the circuit yet-Do you see any error messages on the display?

Step 3): When you activate steam, does the light under the steam switch blink (heating) and then fully illuminate (once up to temp)?-Do you hear the repeated thud noise of the vibratory pump at work? If not, the safety thermostat may need to be reset (Remove machine's top panel and press the resettable thermostat)

Step 4): On Steel DUO only: Check main menu settings to ensure steam (parameter St in the main menu) is ON.

Step 5): If this is not able to be resolved with troubleshooting and the machine is over a year old, any of these authorized service locations can be contacted about having equipment brought or shipped in for repair - List of Authorized Ascaso Home Technicians
