Troubleshooting cold/room temperature water being dispensed from Ascaso Baby T grouphead/hot water tap
Process to troubleshoot cold water being dispensed from the grouphead of an Ascaso Baby T.
Issue: Machine dispensing cold/room temp water from group
Most Common Cause: High-Limit Thermostats are tripped on thermoblock
Resolution:
Step 1) Remove the upper cup panel of the Baby T unit after removing the 4 body screws.
Step 2) While the machine powered off and unplugged, locate the thermoblock located above the grouphead towards the front of the machine. It will have a black/grey insulation with the Ascaso brand visible (visible in image below)
Step 3) Carefully depress both high limit reset switches (black buttons) (visibile in image below)
Step 4) If you feel a noticeable click on either switch, the high limit thermostat was tripped and prevented the thermoblock from heating as an overheating protection mechanism.
Step 5) Once the switches have been reset, power the machine back on and allow it to reheat before checking the expelled water temperature coming from the grouphead. If the water has returned to optimal brew temperature as set in the PID control interface, the high limits were tripped and should now be ok.

**If high-limit thermostats are continuously tripping, first verify that the water reservoir is full and not running the machine on empty. Alternatively, if directly plumbed in, please verify that the water filter is not blocked / the water supply valve is not turned off. If there are no issues with the inbound direct-plumb water supply / reservoir fill level, please contact us at Info@AscasoUSA.com for further support **
