# Guide for removing the top panel on Steel UNO/DUO/DUO Plus espresso machines
## Walkthrough guide on how to remove the top panel of an Ascaso Steel UNO/DUO/DUO Plus machine.
**Step 1):** Power the machine off, unplug it from the power source, and allow it to cool completely.
**Step 2):** Use a 2.5mm metric allen key to unscrew the top 2 screws on the back panel.
**Step 3):** Lift the rear end of the top panel ~1inch, then scoot the top panel backward slightly so that the front unhooks from the machine body.
**Step 4):** Cup warmer wiring can stay connected, or it can be disconnected at the plastic terminal conneciton points. These slide on/off and the orientation of these two wires doesn't matter
